The Accelerated Wellness Program is our flagship five-day residential experience, bringing together Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Integrative Restoration, adaptive yoga, and therapeutic music inside one confidential week. It is offered for six individuals or three couples per cohort, and it is entirely free to participants. Here is the full day-by-day schedule.

Initial intake assessment followed by guided mindfulness activities to ease into the program framework.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy with licensed clinicians. Eye movement-based processing to begin retraining how the brain stores traumatic memories.

Guided yoga or Integrative Restoration session — full-body relaxation protocol targeting the nervous system's stress response at the root level.

A therapeutic music group experience on the waterfront — drumming, shared rhythm, and the kind of connection that first responders rarely find in traditional treatment settings.

Integrative Restoration midday session — a clinical protocol developed from ancient yogic techniques that targets the nervous system directly.

Animal-assisted interaction at a local alpaca farm. There is genuine clinical evidence for the calming effect of animal interaction on the nervous system — and it is also just a good afternoon.

Final iRest session — a grounding, full-body practice to close the clinical work and prepare for the transition home.

A formal closing — recognition, reflection, and the tools and resources to continue growing when you get home. This is not an ending. It is a starting point.

Common questions

Who is eligible for the Accelerated Wellness Program?

All active-duty military, veterans, law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, dispatchers, corrections officers, and their spouses, partners, and immediate family members. You do not need a diagnosis or a department referral.

Is the five-day program really free?

Yes. The program is 100% free — lodging, meals, transportation, and every therapy are covered. Responders First is a donor-funded 501(c)(3); you are never billed or asked for insurance.

What happens during the five days?

Each day pairs clinical work — Accelerated Resolution Therapy and Integrative Restoration with licensed clinicians — with restorative activities like adaptive yoga, therapeutic music, time on the water, and shared meals. The full day-by-day schedule is above.

Where is the program held, and where do I stay?

It is anchored at the Sandhill Scout Reservation in Hernando County, Florida, about an hour north of Tampa. Most participants stay onsite for the week; lodging and local transportation are included.

Can my spouse or partner attend with me?

Yes. Each cohort runs for six individuals or three couples, and spouses also have access to year-round one-on-one counseling.
